|   IMG_9234 - Between earthquakes and the 1990’s wars, there is always on-going restoration needed in these countries.
 |   IMG_9238 - Veliki Kaštio, the principle fortress in Ston, was built in 1357.  Heavily damaged since 1800, it is now being repaired.
 |   IMG_9240 - St Blaise (Sveti Vlaha) church in Ston.  It was again repaired in 2017, after four earthquakes and rebuilds since 1342.

   |   IMG_9254 - On this trip we had free time to wander around the old town of Ston.  In 2018 we did more in Mali Ston.
 |   IMG_9256 - Croatia is feral cat country, like Italy and western Europe.  Farther east there are more dogs.
 |   IMG_9257 - The city walls of Ston-Mali Ston block the narrow, only, land connection of the Pelješac peninsula to the mainland.
 |   IMG_9259 - These defensive walls of Ston are second longest in the world, after the Great Wall of China.
