Greater Parish of Gaspe Events - The Advisory Ccouncil of the Greater Parish of Gaspe will meet on Friday, February 17th at 7pm in the Senior's Room in Wakeham. If you have items for the agenda please contact Rhonda Stewart at rhondals@hotmail.com or Glen Alexander at 418-368-1502.
The Greater Parish will be holding the discussion group/meeting that was cancelled in January on Saturday February 18th beginning at 9am at St. Paul's Church in Gaspe. It is very important to have as many people as possible attend to help disuss the future of our parish.
There will be an All-Parish Eucharist celebrated by Bishop Dennis Drainville on Sunday, February 19th at St. Paul's Gaspe at 10am. |

The maison wakeham (or the ash inn) will opening its doors from the 10th to the 14th of February in the evenings with a candle light dinner and a gourmet menu will be offered especially for st valentines day,we will also be open for breakfast on saturday the 18th till 11 30 am,

The ecole d'hotellerie at the C.E. Pouliot Polyvalente will be hosting 4 different Breakfast on the following Tuesdays from 7:30 to 9am. Jan 24, 31, Feb 7 ( all a la carte) Feb 14th (the only Buffet). These breakfast are open to the public and are an important way to determine the success of the students. Different lunches will also be hosted with details to follow.
These meals were a great success last year. The York River Seniors group and members of the community have been invited. Reservations are needed. If any one wishes to attend please contact me at 418 368 3276.

GASPE MEET AND GREET BREAKFAST
Breakfast will be held at the Holiday Inn Burlington on April 21 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
We are not taking names this year as it is going to be on a first come first serve basis. The cost will be $13.00 per person. The actual cost is $17.00 but we are paying $4.00 of the cost of this because of the situation at the Polish Hall 2010.
We have seen the breakfast and it is fabulous.

The McGill Retention Bursary program is now open for students studying in a recognised Health and Social Service Course out of the Gaspé region and who wish to return to the Gaspé region after completing their studies.
Information on available bursaries is available on the Vision Gaspé-Percé Now website, where you will find the Application Guide and Form.

« La Guignolée (Door to door campagne) »
Christmas is coming fast and as you know, the centre d'action benevole is having its annual door to door campagne. Considering the size of our territory, a large number of canvassers are needed to cover all sectors.
We are relying on the generosity of the population to make a success of this operation again this year. As a volunteer in this campagne which will be on Sunday, December 4th, you will contribute to making Christmas a little happier for many families.
Anyone interested in helping with the collection or anyone needing additional information is invited to contact the centre d'action benevole at 418-368-6634.
To all volunteers, organisations and establishments who have already responded to our demand, your generosity is greatly appreciate. Thank you.
In conjunction with « La Guignolée – The Door to Door Campaign » for Christmas baskets, the Centre d’action bénévole Le Hauban invites the population to participate in the 8th edition of « SAPINO » the tree with a thousand stars, started by Geneviève Plourde and Mélanie Ste-Croix.
Anyone interested in helping bring stars to the eyes of young children are invited to drop by the kiosk at place Jacques Cartier, December 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10 and 11, where you will find volunteers that will provide a list of gift suggestions and where you can later drop off your gift. Please note that these new gifts are only distributed to families that will be receiving the Christmas basket.
