Toronto News April 30, 2008
The Annual Gaspe Meet and Greet Breakfast was held Saturday April 26,2008
on King Road in Burlington, from 9:00 AM till 1:00 PM with 158 people in
attendance plus, 6 Musicians. There were Gaspesians from all over the
Gaspe Coast, From Black Cape,New Carlisle,Cap-Os-Aux to Mont Louis,
now living all over Canada, and from ages of 14 to 90. The Idea of a
meeting originated with Jaclyn Patterson, to bring together ExGaspesians,
to meet old friends, acquaintances, and relatives, renew old friendships
and make new ones, and talk about the good old days. The first one was
held in April 2006 with 22 present, this one was in honour of Andy@ Debbie
Patterson visiting from Sunny Bank Gaspe. Earle Coffin Writing on Gogaspe
Site about this event named it, Gaspe Meet and Greet. The second was
held July 2006 with 30 in attendance at Williams Coffee Pub in Burlington.
The third was held in October 2006 with Williams Pub with again 30
present. The fourth took Place at Apple Annies in Burlington on December
30th with 68 people attending and then again April 28 2007 having 102
present. This year Jaclyn asked Evert Mccallum to take her place with
Earle as she had a major operation, which prevented her from taking part
fully, however she is still a great help to us. This year many more people
wanted to attend so we changed the Venue to accomodate more people and
added a new touch by having a few musicians to play some down home
music, which appears to have been well received.
we would Like to Thank Everyone for Attending, and also Ruth Patterson
Armstrong, Frankie, Elaine Miller,Jackie, Evert and for all there
help as well. April 26 of this year we had the largest and most
successful event to date.
THE HIGHLIGHT OF OUR BREAKFAST WAS THE SURPRISE VISIT OF ONE OF GASPE/S
MOST FAMOUS GASPESIANS OF ALL TIME.
THE WELL RESPECTED AND HIGHLY OUTSTANDING MAYOR OF MISSISSAUGA MADAM
MAYOR HAZEL MCCALLION JOURNEAUX.
The Mayor said a few words, noting that she is Very Proud of her Quebec
Heritage and Gaspe Roots having come from Port Daniel on the Gaspe Coast,
and urged everyone to be Proud of their Heritage.

51 years 6 months and 5 days after the Execution of Wilbert Coffin for the Murder of Richard Lindsey the real truth is about to come out.
Today Mr. Lew Stoddard has a new posting on his blog site and below is an excerpt of one paragraph.
“The Wilbert Coffin story is approaching conclusion. I now know the identity of the true killers of the American hunters in the woods near Gaspe'. These persons will be identified right here on the "Stoddard Online" website.”
